Bordalás: “We must have an outstanding performance to make up for points dropped”

Valencia CF’s head coach, José Bordalás, shared his pre-match thoughts ahead of Valencia CF-Athletic Club on Matchday 7 of LaLiga as he gave visibility to childhood cancer by wearing a gold ribbon.
A return to winning ways
We must have an outstanding performance to make up for the points dropped in the last two games.
Getting back the good feeling
It has been a week with difficult games, and situations in which we have lost important players. It is a game for us to regain a good feeling, get a good result and continue the improvement process that this team are on.
Athletic's analysis
They are an historic, strong team who have had a good start to the season. Despite the defeat against Rayo, they have had good start, are strong, organised and doing things well. They are difficult opponents. They have many alternatives, speed, defend well and have conceded very few goals. They are a balanced team.
Continue working
I have always had my feet on the ground. I have never got carried away by euphoria. It’s a cliché, but we were not so good before, nor are we as bad as they say now.
We have lost two big games against two big teams, and we know the specific reasons that we have been punished a very exaggerated way. We cannot look back; we have to focus on tomorrow's game.
We have to keep working and fighting to score points. The way that the competition goes will establish the possibilities that we are going to have.
Injured players'recovery
The injured players are doing quite well. Some are in the process of recovering. Blanco and Piccini are training normally. They have only been doing that for a short time and we will see if they are in the squad or not, depending on who is available.
